Love Jones

The serenity of your circumference seems to be at its best because I’m in your presence.  Damn, I never thought that I would feel this way again but I do and I don’t know what to do with it.  Should I give it my all like give you all of me in one breath and whisper sweet things in your ear like is it yours.  Or should I save my breath until the day I say I do but I might not want to wait that long because you, you, you know what to say to have me soaking in these Vickie’s that I’m wearing underneath this fabric that you call clothing.  I have a love jones for you and ain’t no mountain high enough for me to climb the highest elevation of love that I’m having for you.  The longitude and the latitude will never intersect because this love I mean our love is the axis of all points.  I need some divine intervention because right now this jones is taking over and the creator is a bit jealous because your number one on my list.  But for now I’m asking God to forgive me because I just decided to give you my all because I’m grown and I feel like doing grown up things so take your time and be gentle and in the essence of this art that we’re making try to pay close attention to my sweet whispers and plant your mark because wherever you plant it that’s where it stays forever.

and even board games were so much fun to do.  Dag, I wish I was a kid again.  But today the kids aren’t playing hop scotch (they’re drinking scotch), they’re not playing double dutch (they’re rolling dutches), they’re not spinning bottles (they’re popping bottles).  Oh and catch-a-girl-get-a-girl well that game never changed just the rules a little bit now they’re catching the girl and getting her pregnant.  Lack of supervision is what I call it but people are so quick to pass judgment on the kids when the kids aren’t at fault they only doing what they know.  People should blame the parents.  I say when the kids get in trouble with the law, lock the parents up and maybe they’ll stop going to the clubs and walking it out and popping their collars.  I’m so sick of these teenage mothers, these teenage murders, and these bloods and crips trying to take over putting fear in people when they only fear themselves, it just a color get over it.

Dominant Woman

I am who I am.  I am who I am.

Am I suppose to change.

Yeah I’m the girl next door that grew up in the same hood you grew up in but

I’m also the same girl that made it out.

I was exposed to the same things you were exposed too but

I decided not to model what I saw

teenage sex, teenage pregnancy, drugs, and alcohol.

It seems like that was the thing to do back in the nineties

like a fresh pair of Nikes on the market and everyone had to get it but

once they got it they abused it and it never returned back to its

normal state.  But you can’t be mad at me because I had a mother

who told me to be in the house at 7 and in the bed at 8.  I was raised by

a Dominant Woman, so she passed the torch to me now its my turn to conquer

and to prevail in this world of hatred.  Hatred is like cancer.  It’s either malignant

or benign.  But we all know that it’s malignant because it won’t stop.  Ooh I’m so

vexed at the thought that you can manifest but you would rather digress and hate on

my progress.  But I’m not going to let you or anyone else interfere with my success because you’re mad that I can pronounce words like phenomenological field, modulation, fabrication, and education.  In lamest terms, phenomenological field is how you see the world, modulation is to change, fabrication is something that is made up, and education is to learn.  So you need to see the world for what it is, try to change, stop making excuses, and learn.  I am going to be who I am.
